A regular height of 3 inches to 3 1/2 inches is recommended for most grasses. Lawn clippings may be mulched and blown back on the lawn or they may be collected and disposed of somewhere else. All driveways and walkways will be blown off and cleared of all the leftover clippings and debris.

Lawn mowing will be a set price depending on the size and layout of the lawn there may also be a disposal fee for clippings if there is no on-site disposal.

Spring and Fall Clean Ups

Spring cleanups consist of the cleaning of your yard for the upcoming growing season removing all the leaves, sticks, and any debris that has accumulated over the winter season. At the same time, it is a chance to spot any problem areas that may have occurred over the winter and make a plan to fix those problems early in the spring season.

Fall cleanups are to clean as much of the leaves, pine needles, and sticks from your yard before the winter season. Cleaning your lawn before the snow comes will make for an easy spring cleanup and a healthier start for your lawn growing season in the spring.

Prices for spring and fall cleanups will be a set hourly rate depending on the size of the job.

Mulching

Mulching is done for various reasons other than being very aesthetically pleasing and adding to your home's curb appeal. There are many different types of mulch like organic mulch (also known as bark mulch, wood chips, and pine straw) assorted types of rocks, and colored rubber mulch. Some of the benefits of organic mulch are that organic mulch retains moisture for your plants and shrubs, also helps with erosion, and controls weeds within your flower or plant bed. Typically a landscape fabric is put down first to aid in preventing weeds from growing in your mulch bed. Organic mulch over time breaks down and adds many nutrients to the soil which can also benefit your plants, organic mulch is usually touched up every year or so but not to exceed 2-3 inches of thickness. Rocks are good for places where heavy rains usually can wash out the soil and damage shrubs. Rubber mulch does not break down over time and does not need to be redone for a longer period of time. It is also very useful around children's playsets because it is a soft material.

Mulching will be a set hourly rate depending on the job plus the price per yard of mulch.

Hedge Trimming & Pruning

Hedge trimming & pruning helps maintain very healthy plants and shrubs and also aesthetically help with your home's curb appeal. The benefits of trimming are to remove any dead or dying parts of the tree or plant to prevent disease or insects from getting into deadwood. It will also help with the plant's overall growth by stimulating the plant or shrub to fill in other areas and to help flowering bushes by having longer stems and bigger blooms. Pruning of flowering plants is usually not done until after that season's flowering period which differs for most plants. Trimming non-flowering plants is usually done once or twice a year depending on the shrub's growth. It also helps keep walkways clear, clearance between your home and shrubs, and keeps space between all your plants and shrubs for a more net and clean look.

Trimming and pruning will be a set hourly rate depending on the job.

Lawn De-Thatching

Lawn de-thatching helps maintain a thick and healthy lawn allowing nutrients to go directly into the soil and to the roots of the grass. Thatch is a layer of dead grass stems, roots, clippings, leaves, and other debris. Usually, this is done in the spring or early in the fall. and performed every other year. While some thatch can be healthy for a lawn (1/2 inch to 1-inch is recommended) having too much can hurt your lawn's ability to stay healthy. De-thatching helps water, fertilizer, and sun get directly to the ground which promotes healthy root growth.

De-thatching will be a set price depending on the size and layout of the lawn.

Lawn Aeration

Aeration helps maintain a healthy lawn by helping oxygen, water, and other nutrients get directly to the roots of the grass. A core aerator will help with the soil compaction (it removes 1/2 inch to 1-inch cores of soil) which helps loosen up the top layer of soil. Usually done in the spring or early fall and can be done every year if needed. Also aeration can be used in the overseeding process by aerating first then overseeding with grass seed. The seeds will drop into the holes where they will have a faster growth rate.

Aeration will be a set price depending on the size and layout of the lawn.

Weeding

Weeds are inevitable no matter how hard you work to prevent them, they usually end up popping up somewhere. Some people use chemicals to help prevent and control weeds. But if you do not like to use chemicals the only other way to get rid of them is by hand. Taking out the weed roots and all will get rid of the initial weed and help control the spread to other areas. Although it can be a time-consuming process it can help with the overall appearance of your property.

Weeding will be a set hourly rate depending on the job.
